Vamo vs Fitness Coach

Fitness Coach, from the French publisher Luni, builds a video-led programme from a quiz and adapts each session to the equipment you say you have. It is easy to confuse with Welltech's FitCoach; this page is about Luni's app.

99, and nutrition is meal ideas rather than a plan. 99 a month, plans the food, and rebuilds the week from your results rather than your equipment list.

The difference

What Vamo does that Fitness Coach does not

Results, not just equipment

Fitness Coach swaps exercises when you say you have no dumbbells. Vamo does that at setup, then goes further: your check-in and your logged sets decide next week's volume, effort and loads.

Free means free

Fitness Coach has no free version. In Vamo, logging, history and any programme you already have are free for as long as you use the app. The subscription pays for generating and adapting plans.

A plan for food

Menus that give meal ideas are not a plan. Vamo sets your calories and macros from your goal and training, builds the week's meals and swaps one when you need it.

Questions

Vamo or Fitness Coach?

Is Fitness Coach the same as FitCoach?

No. Fitness Coach - Workout Plan is published by Luni, in Bordeaux. FitCoach and Muscle Booster are published by Welltech. This comparison is about Luni's app.

Is Fitness Coach free?

No. There is a 3-day trial on some plans, then a subscription. On the UK App Store the monthly plans are listed at £9.99 to £19.99.

Does Fitness Coach adapt?

To your equipment, yes: tell it what you have at the start of a session and the exercises change. It does not describe adapting to your performance. Vamo rebuilds the week from your check-in and your logged sessions.

Which is cheaper?

Month to month, Vamo at £7.99 is below Fitness Coach's £9.99 to £19.99. Fitness Coach advertises a yearly plan, but no yearly purchase appears on the App Store, so we cannot compare that.
