Vamo vs Gymverse

Gymverse is the closest thing on this list to Vamo in the gym. 8 rating from a lot of people.

It stops at the gym: no nutrition, no running, cycling or swimming plan, and no read of your sleep or your patterns. Vamo does the adaptive lifting and the rest of the week.

The difference

What Vamo does that Gymverse does not

The whole week, not just the lifts

Gymverse adapts the gym. Vamo adapts the gym and plans the running, the rides, the swims and the food from the same goal, so a heavy week and a long run do not collide.

Rules you can read

Gymverse says its adjustments are AI-optimised. Vamo's are computed by rules it publishes: four-week blocks with a deload, volume from the minimum that works towards the most you can recover from, effort as reps in reserve, and every week's reasoning written out in the app.

Recovery is an input

Vamo's weekly check-in scores fatigue, soreness and sleep and brings the deload forward when you need it. Sleep from your watch is scored every night, and its drift shows up in Pulse.

Questions

Vamo or Gymverse?

Does Gymverse adapt like Vamo?

For lifting, yes: Gymverse says it adjusts weights, sets and reps automatically and runs deload weeks. Vamo does the same for the gym, and also programmes running, cycling and swimming, plans your food and reads your recovery.

Is Gymverse free?

It is free to download with in-app purchases. The listing does not say what works without paying or whether there is a trial, so we do not claim either way.

Which is cheaper?

We cannot say. Gymverse's tiers on the UK App Store run from £7.99 to £119.99 without stating their billing periods; the US listing shows $19.99 a month. Vamo is £7.99 a month with 14 days free.

Can I use Gymverse for the gym and Vamo for the rest?

You could, but Vamo would then be planning lifting it cannot see. Vamo works best when the lifts are logged in it, because that is where next week's loads come from.

Ready? Vamo.
