Vamo vs FitOn

FitOn gives away a genuinely large class library: strength, HIIT, yoga, Pilates and dance, led by well-known trainers, with no cap on the free tier. Structured programmes, meal plans and recipes sit behind FitOn PRO, billed yearly.

Classes are content, and content does not know what you did last week. Vamo is the other thing: a plan built from your goal, your kit and your logs, that changes as you go.

The difference

What Vamo does that FitOn does not

A programme, not a playlist

A class is the same on Monday as it was last month. Vamo builds four-week loading blocks with a planned deload, sets the effort for each week, and writes your working weights from the lifts you have logged.

The engine reads your week

Miss two sessions, sleep badly, or log a personal best and Vamo's next week is different. FitOn's recommendations come from the questionnaire you filled in at the start.

Food that follows the training

FitOn PRO adds meal plans and recipes. Vamo sets calorie and macro targets from your goal and your sessions, builds the week's meals to hit them, and lets you swap a meal in one tap when life happens.

Questions

Vamo or FitOn?

Is FitOn free?

The classes are. Structured programmes, meal plans, recipes, offline downloads and live heart-rate zones need FitOn PRO, which is billed yearly at a price shown in the app.

Does FitOn have a training plan?

It has pre-built multi-week programmes in PRO and questionnaire-based recommendations for free. Neither is described as adjusting to your results.

Which is better for home workouts?

For follow-along variety at no cost, FitOn. For a progressing programme you can run at home with the kit you have, and that rebuilds from your logs, Vamo. Vamo asks what equipment you own and only prescribes what you can do.

Does Vamo have video classes?

No. Vamo shows each exercise with instructions and coaching notes, and prescribes the sets, reps, effort and load. It is a programme, not a class library.
